All the big studios are always on the lookout for animators who can bring creatures to life in a believable way. By mastering creature animation, your demo reel will really stand out.

You will learn how to make four legged characters walk, talk, and show emotions.you will be learn further to make them do action-packed stuff like throwing punches! You’ll get to work with cool rig, and tackle challenging exercises like making a creature fly smoothly, animating them in a live-action scene, and creating intense creature interactions.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to make your creatures move realistically, whether they’re soaring through the air or battling it out on the ground. You’ll learn how to pay attention to tiny details that make your animations look just as believable as real-life footage. And you’ll be able to use reference videos of real animals to make your fantasy creatures feel even more lifelike.

Acting and expression workshop

In the Character Acting workshop, you’ll learn how to make shots that fit together well, making sure your characters’ actions support the story and their development. You’ll focus on scenes with two people talking, finding the right balance between their performances. As an animator, you’ll bring each character to life while keeping the story’s main points in mind.

After the class, your characters’ relationships will feel real and believable. Your audience will sense the strong bond between friends and the tension between characters in conflict. Get ready to shine!

In the Advanced Acting course, you’ll create lively performances with subtle emotions that draw the audience in. You’ll also discover how important cinematography is in planning your animation, learning about composition, choosing lenses, and setting the mood with the camera.

You’ll learn to listen to recorded audio and pick out parts that would work well for animation, focusing on clear moments, phrases, and contrasts. Balancing the two characters in your scene, you’ll give each of them their own life while keeping the main story beats in mind.

Going deeper, you’ll explore subtext, uncovering your character’s inner thoughts through their actions. And you’ll master the art of creating shots that fit together smoothly to tell a cinematic story.

By the end of these workshops, you’ll be able to create animations with compelling characters, engaging relationships, and dynamic storytelling that captivates your audience.

Cartoonny animation workshop

Some animators find cartoon animation tricky because it’s all about using your imagination. You can’t just copy real-life movements because cartoons involve actions you’ve never seen before. In this course, you’ll uncover the secrets behind cartoon animation, like what you see in classics such as “Tom and Jerry” and “Looney Tunes.”

The most exciting part is breaking the traditional rules of animation. Instead of sticking to gravity and weight, you’ll learn how to make your characters defy these rules, adding a whole new level of fun and creativity to your animations.

Do you remember watching “Looney Tunes” or Disney cartoons and seeing crazy actions that made you pause and rewind to see how they did it? Maybe you saw characters stretching or smearing in weird ways that you’d never see in real life. These are all tricks animators use to make scenes funnier and more energetic.

In this course, you’ll learn how to use real-life reference without just copying reality. You’ll start to think differently about motion and learn to push movements and ideas further than you ever have before. Sometimes, you’ll push the limits so much that it might look strange in one frame, but when you play it back at 24 frames per second, it flows seamlessly.

By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills to create dynamic and entertaining cartoon animations that captivate audiences with their creativity and humor.

Action and body mechanism workshop

Now that you’ve got the basics, let’s dive into Body Mechanics. This course will teach you how to use staging and composition to tell stories clearly and help your audience follow along. You’ll learn how to plan out action scenes with multiple characters, making their movements look dynamic and exciting.

You’ll also learn advanced tricks to make your characters do cool stuff like dancing gracefully on a stage, climbing up a pirate ship’s ropes, or even doing backflips out of windows! By combining these body mechanics principles, you’ll be able to make your characters move in a more realistic and believable way.

And that’s not all! You’ll also learn how to use different kinds of videos as references to make your animations even better. Whether it’s watching real people move or finding clips online, you’ll discover how to incorporate these references into your work to make it more lifelike.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a powerful set of tools that you can use to create animations that really grab people’s attention and make them feel like they’re right there in the action.
